Default Question about powerleveling

I'm not quite sure where to post this, so if this is not the right place i apologise.

When i am in droknar i often see people looking for someone to powerlvl them. Since i could use that extra bit of cash and often farm the trolls myself for skillpoints i have been considering this.

There are a few things im not too sure about though,
1) where does the other player stand? does he have to be in range to get the xp?
2) how do i assure the drops are mine?
3) can he be dead?

Thanks in advance

1. They have to be within aggro range (maybe a bit more, but the circle is a good guideline)

2. You don't

3. no

1) They need to stand out of the troll's sight for not attracting them and totally split up your build by make em run away from you
2) Just tell him that all drop's is yours.
3) No, he need's to be alive.

i am not very sure about it,but i think if you want someone to lvlup for your character, they will grind the money and money for you.but i think play on your character yourself is worthy

There is lots of lvl 19 minotaurs south from Temple of Ages. All you need is AoE damage and some skills to avoid or reduce the melee damage. They don't have any interrupting skills. Pretty fast especially if you use EXP scrolls.

Well, when I used to power level people, I got scammed 3/5 times I power leveled. Try asking for half of the money first, and the rest after the level.

well im power-leveling when sum one needs it and i never get scammed when the person im power-leveling gains a level i want the amount of money that i told him to pay me or else its goodbye and on block list.
For me 1 level dosen't matter but like 5 levels matter cause thats already like 5k
Also tell the person that you are leveling that u dot on the map where to stand when all the trolls etc is around you..
Sometimes i've powerleveled people that just ran into them and then the trolls ran away from me and that is pissing me off so REMEMBER to tell him/her that

You could always try not tripply posting and readin the OP's post.

He wants to know how to Powerlevel basically, he doesnt want you telling him how he can level up without being power leveled.

So you achieved 3 posts all totally useless and offtopic - seriously you should go read the forum guidelines.

Ontopic - As long as you specify before your run who should keep the drops and how much they pay per level you should be fine. The problem I have had trying to powerlevel is keeping them close enough to level, but far enough away to live.

When i power lvl, i ussualy go through a few rules, like all drops are mine, pay at the end of each lvl, dnt aggro, and try not to die.
the best place for a player to stand is possibly on ur Radar thing( aggro circle or what ever its called).

A Few things to add:
1) Like they said, they ALWAYS provide Scrolls. This is just assumed. Make sure though that they ARE using scrolls, they aren't an option. If they don't use scrolls then levels will get dragged out, and the profit you are making from them being there is less and less.

2) Never pickup a P-lvlee at lvl19 or something. Always make sure they are in for atleast 3-4 lvls. Its best to pick them up at the lowest lvl possible. This minimizes how much you can be scammed out of. You get them lvl9 to 10 and they dont pay...you can drop them. You get them lvl19 to 20 and they dont pay...Well dropping them doesn't really hurt them. The more lvls they want from you the more inclined they are to pay.

3) This is for you...Going to the Cave, you cannot chance aggro getting to him. If the Birds or a troll group are at a bad spot - you will have to break down and aggro them up to kill them. You will get a bad rep among p-lvlers VERY QUICK if you just go about business as usual and get the lvlee killed a few times.

4) About his length from you when you do get to the cave - Aggro bubble is fine, but they can get closer or alittle further if needed. Just remember to tell him to stay back until ALL the trolls are in their circle around you and dying from SoJ - Then they VERY RARELY ever peel off from you even if he is right up on them.

5) Be Careful. Now how to kill even big groups of trolls with a great success rate. Alot of P-lvlees are going to survivor, so if you die - then run is over and they lose alittle faith in you. IF you aren't experienced at handling the HUGE groups of trolls - It is safer to just take them in 2 groups and waste that 40 or so secs than maybe accidently dying and getting that rep...

you dont have to be in aggro range, you just have to DO SOMETHING in the battle, so use Orison on the powerleveller and you get all the experience.

I powerleveled my brother's 55 monk against the minotaurs. To help me stay alive, he would push all attribute points into protective prayers, and cast them on me. I would rarely die solo (maybe 1 every 9 or 10 runs), but with his enchantments/spells, I could aggro twice as many, and never risk death.

He got ZERO exp unless he was JUST inside the aggro bubble (or closer).

If the low levelled person wands a troll once then moves out of the aggro circle that counts as participation and he'll get xp.

QTF.

I'm powerleveling my own survivor mule. I kill everything on the way to the troll cave, because a rit/mo will never out run the avicara. What I have noticed is that if my survivor fires a shot with a flatbow, she gets the xp from the avicara brave, trolls, but not always the avicara fierce who are about 2 aggro circles away from her. If she uses healing breeze or protective spirit on my monk, she gets xp for all of the enemies attacking my monk and distance is not really a factor.

To Salad:

Did you brother cast the enchantment spells before you aggroed?
He won't get any xp for those if the spells were casted on you before you aggroed. He needs to wait for you to hold aggro then cast a spell on you.

From experience, I made my sister powerlevel her warrior herself. Casted barrier, bond, mending, watchful spirit and stayed on the entrance of the troll cave. Only time I got xp was when she was interrupted and I had to run in for a heal.

Edit: Anyone else noticed this was from May?
